Adrian lives in Kent and was a successful junior handler, being Kennel Club Junior Organisation (now Young Kennel Club)adrian bpool 06 ‘Junior of the Year’ 1998, the highest award a junior handler in Britain can achieve, which shows the extent of the commitment the recipient has made to the dog world.

He has competed successfully at shows in the UK, Antwerp, Malta, Channel Islands and the 1996 World Show in Vienna in handling and showing. He has also been successful in obedience and agility.

adrian club show07He helped campaign the Channel Island Top Dog all-breeds for 2003 and 2004, Gayteckels Seaexpectation at Renlott and handled him to C.I. Dog of the Year 2004 and a RCC at the Wire Dachshund Club under top all-rounder Ferelith Somerfield.

During this time he was studying for a BA in Contemporary History at the University of Sussex in Brighton, graduating in 2006. In university holidays, he worked as a sub-editor at the country’s leading canine newspaper, DOG WORLD, taking a permanent position there upon graduation.
